Responsive designInteraction design

A clearer next step for curious parents.

I helped plan a daycare website around two goals: build trust with prospective families and make it easy to reach out for more information.

The challenge

While redesigning the responsive mobile layout, the client and I noticed that the inquiry button was less prominent than it was on desktop.

The decision

I made the inquiry call-to-action a persistent banner at the bottom of the mobile page. The aim was to keep it within easy reach without making it dominate the browsing experience.

CLIENT FEEDBACKMobile inquiry action was easy to miss.DESIGN RESPONSEKeep the next step visible while people browse.
What this shows

Responsive design involves reconsidering priority, placement, and interaction—not just fitting the same content onto a smaller screen.

Help families explore, understand, and inquire.

I designed and maintained the school’s website, creating responsive pages that introduced its offerings and guided prospective families toward an inquiry.

My contribution

I planned page prototypes, created layouts with consistent branding, and maintained the site using Wix. Photoshop supported image editing.

Feedback and iteration

I collaborated with staff on internal testing and design reviews, checked functionality before deployment, and addressed website issues.

Ongoing care

I reviewed website traffic and inquiry submissions to understand visitor engagement and support continued improvements.

Learning to design around user needs.

For my Google UX Design Certificate, I created a mobile-app concept and prototype for a fictional school, practicing research and incorporating feedback with attention to simplicity and usability.

Foundations

The course covered empathy mapping, personas, ideation, usability studies, and accessibility. It gave me a structure for moving from user needs toward interface decisions.

Context

This was a learning project, rather than a launched client product.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Curious by nature.
Practical by approach.

I bring a mix of design training, website experience, and hands-on teamwork.

Alongside web projects, I’ve coordinated property-care work, trained new volunteers, and supported in-person and virtual events. Those experiences shape how I communicate, respond to feedback, and keep work moving.

I’m looking for opportunities to keep learning and contribute to a thoughtful design or web team.
